Reading a very thought-provoking book of our professor, a Spanish philosopher Alejandro Llano, entitled “La vida lograda” (A life well-lived), I could not help but dedicate a few moments digesting his ideas. I thought I might as well provoke you, my dear readers, to think, so I decided to share these thoughts with you.

With her accent, I was almost sure she is from Equator, South America. Besides, she was well-dressed, so no one could suppose that she’s one of these modern beggars, who would deliberately appear grimy so as to move generous philanthropists into pity.

Submitted by padreyroq on Sat, 06/30/2007 - 9:06pmLast 28 June 2007 outgoing Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Fernando Filoni informed Davao Archbishop Fernando Capalla that the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Monsignor Julius S. Tonel as the new bishop-prelate of Ipil in Zamboanga-Sibugay province.
Bishop-elect Tonel is concurrently the Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of Davao and parish priest of San Pablo Parish in Matina, Davao City. He is the second Davao-born diocesan priest to become bishop. The first was Bishop Guillermo Afable, no bishop of the Diocese of Digos.
GUIDELINES FOR THE PASTORAL CARE OF THE ROAD

Participating in the press conference were Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino and Archbishop Agostino Marchetto, respectively president and secretary of that pontifical council.
